Is Depression a type of anxiety disorder?

From a religious standpoint, Jesus once asked his 12 apostles: “Who can be anxiety and add one hair to your head?” Now, you may or may not have a religious background, but think about that statement. You will see why anxiety, which is a major symptom of anxiety and depression, is somewhat unnecessary.
